Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. Bags Numerous Awards in Toastmasters International's District 75 Convention

April 30, 2015, Aziza Paradise Hotel, Puerto Princesa, Palawan - Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. (BAVI) made quite an impression during the District 75 Convention of Toastmasters International held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan last April 30, 2015. BAVI and its employees received several awards. The yearly district convention was attended by over 250 delegates nationwide, all comin  g from the various clubs of Toastmasters International.

Starting from the leader

Mr. Ronald Mascariñas, President and General Manager of Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc. who is not a member of Toastmasters, was presented with the Communications and Leadership Award for his invaluable contribution and support for his employees, who are members of the said organization.

Giving his people the best so they can be the best

Being a business strategist, Mr. Mascariñas saw the wisdom and benefit in the Toastmasters system of developing leaders through mentoring in writing and speaking.  He said, "I want to develop their potentials, so they can be of help to one another. I will not allow my employees to miss this opportunity.""

The company initiated the organizing of Toastmasters Clubs for its employees nationwide, and thirteen Toastmasters Clubs were established in less than a year, with a total membership of more than 400, almost two thirds of the company's entire workforce.

Membership in the Toastmasters Clubs is voluntary. However, the company set incentives for employees for membership and level advancement in the Toastmasters system. Membership fees are paid by the company and club meetings are held during company time. The company also grants a salary increase of up to 15% to employees who accomplish level certification in the Toastmasters system.

For this, BAVI was given the CRYSTAL GLOBE AWARD, for enhancing employee engagement through continuing support for Toastmasters.

 

 BAVI bagged more awards - a testimony to the company's dedication to employee development. BAVI Toastmasters Club was given the President's Distinguished Club Award, the highest recognition that a club can get for achieving the distinguished club goals in one year. Its club charter president, Rowell Mariano, President of BAVI Toastmasters Club, the first club organized out of the 13 BAVI Clubs, also received the Triple Crown Award, for achieving three title norms in one year.

A member of the BAVI Toastmasters Club, Atty. Nedo L. Sasing, AVP for Legal and Human Resources Department, won in his Area and Division level International Speech competitions, and competed in the International Prepared Speech Contest, held during the District 75 Convention. Atty. Sasing won 1st runner up, besting 10 other division champions

 

The District also recognized the 7 new clubs formed under Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc: BAVI Manila Toastmasters Club (TMC), BAVI North Luzon TMC, BAVI Panay TMC, BAVI Cebu TMC, BAVI Negros TMC, BAVI Eastern Visayas TMC, and BAVI Zamboanga TMC.
