Atty. Nedo Sasing, AVP of Legal, HR, and Corporate Administration, and Abigail Rivera, Manager of Training Support Center, have been working towards their certification as facilitators of the 7 Habits since last year. They attended the 7 Habits Public Seminar last Sept 16-18, 2015, and the 7 Habits Facilitators’ Workshop on Nov 23-27 of the same year.
Training the Big Bosses for the First Time
Last March 9-11, they conducted their first 7 Habits seminar with senior personnel of BAVI, as their final test for certification. For Ms. “Abi," it was a monumental experience as it was her first time to conduct a seminar with senior personnel.
Ms. Abi shared, “It was different because they are the bosses of the company. I had to do two (2) weeks of preparation which involved a lot of studying and re-reading the facilitator’s guide book again and again. At first I was anxious on how to get VPs and AVPs engaged. But to my relief, they were very participative! The 7 Habits module was engaging and fulfilling for them.”

When asked about how facilitating the 7 Habits seminar was like, Ms. Abi responded smiling: “Sharing the 7 Habits taught me more about living it. It wasn’t just a training session for me. Sharing it with the executives gave me an opportunity to practice habit no. 6: Synergize; that is to step up and share ideas and insights regardless of your position or rank in order to contribute.”

Spreading the 7 Habits Nationwide
The seminar is the first of four sessions in 2016 that will be conducted by the HR Support Center, targeting to cover all senior personnel. The big goal of the 7 Habits program is to cover and affect all 700+ employees of BAVI nationwide to fulfil the vision of becoming a company with management and staff that lives the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
Because well-educated businessmen have read about the 7 Habits.

The 7 Habits work sessions are based on the content from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, authored by Stephen Covey, which is considered one of the most impactful books ever written on personal effectiveness, leadership development and change. What differentiates The 7 Habits from other leadership offerings is its unique, proprietary content, which has global appeal, and is an inside-out approach to leadership development. The principles taught in the work sessions are universal, timeless, cross-cultural and have been widely accepted, as such.
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, first published in 1989, is a business and self-help book written by Stephen R. Covey. Covey presents an approach to being effective in attaining goals by aligning oneself to what he calls "true north" principles of a character ethic that he presents as universal and timeless.
