Ogie Alcasid and Maestro Ryan Cayabyab celebrated the wonderful world of Original Pilipino Music during their much-anticipated concert “OC at the PICC” held last October 8, 2010 at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center. The crowd, who filled the PICC’s Plenary Hall to full capacity, was far from disappointed as they were treated to a night filled with all-time OPM greats – and some laughs in-between – as the collaboration of these two respected and talented musical artists demonstrated why Filipino music is so wonderfully unique. Aside from singing his own hits, Ogie, the president of the Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-aawit, also sang medleys of various OPM hits from the jukebox classics, to local rock bands, to timeless Pinoy love songs, and iconic Filipino movie themes. Not to mention performing songs from the legendary trio, the Apo Hiking Society, Willie Cruz and George Canseco all of which were complemented by the magnificent arrangement of Maestro Ryan Cayabyab.
