Contract Grower’s Meeting for Southern Luzon
October 9, 2010
The Contract Grower’s Meeting for Southern Luzon Branch was held at Max Lipa for the Batangas-Quezon area and at Ding Hao Rastaurant in Calamba for the Contract Growers of Cavite- Laguna.
The event was held April 15 and 16, and was sponsored by Bayer Philippines represented by Mr. Jovie Almazan and Dr. Bernadette de Borja.
The annual CG Meeting was attended by the Contract Growers from the respective area, and the staff of Bounty Agro Ventures, headed by Dr. Joseph Alan Costales, branch manager of CG operations for South Luzon, along with Dr. Mark Paderes, the AVP for Animal Health Group, Mr. Elmer Quito Group Manager for FeedMill and Rtisserie operations in Luzon the CG Supervisors, Dr. Gerry Mojica and Dr. Rodrigo Faeldo Jr., CG Epidemiologist, Dr. Cindy Ocampo, National Chick Placement Coordinator Ms. Armi Avila, the staff admin, Ms. Rein Valenzuela, Senior Admin Assistant, Mr. Stephen Miranda, Senior CG Coordinator, and the Finance Assistant, Ms. Donalyn de Vera.
During the event, a seminar on Current Poultry Practice and Heat Stress Management was conducted by Dr. Mark Paderes as a part of providing Technical assistance to the Contract Growers. Evaluation of Performance for 2009 in comparison to 2008 was discussed, and was followed by the awarding of Top performing farms. The award was divided into two categories, those with a capacity of up to 10,000, and those above 10,000 capacities. For 1st category, the awardees were: CG Lopes, 1st; CG Agana, 2nd; CG Algozo, 3rd; CG Rosales, 4th; and CG Molina, 5th; for the second category, those above 10,000 capacity, the Top Growers were: CG Bebe, 1st; CG Salameda, 2nd; CG Remorca, 3rd; CG Quizon , 4th; and CG Mananghaya, 5th.
